Firecracker 5K

I would like to submit a formal complaint regarding the unfair results and management of the Firecracker 5K, this year, 2022. I know it is not organized by the Freedom Festival directly, but by another organization and I would like that tradition to be reevaluated. After many decades of fighting for equal rights for women, you would think that between the timing company they hired and the organization itself, they would do better than group female runners in the same awards categories as males. They only awarded the top runner in every category so no females won a category. Also ages 0-19 is a huge developmental range and it is not fair ever to group a 10-year-old just starting to run with a 19-year-old that has run for years with their high school or college teams. Please look into this. Many moms of girls are upset.
